The Corset and How to Make It a Style

Ok, how to style a corset? In case you don’t know, a corset is that tight-fitting waist piece that women wear. Awesome description right? You’re welcome. Lol. Women put it on to shape the body and it extends from below the chest to the hips. We use it to push up the bust and tighten their waist to give an hourglass shape. It used to be a trend in the 1940s and was an essential part of every women’s wardrobe just like the bras we wear now. Have you noticed lately that celebrities and influencers are rocking it? I’m not talking about it as a dress or sportswear which is also super flattering, I mean wearing it on an outfit like outerwear.

So far,

The best for me is wearing it over a white shirt like in the picture above. You know I love white. I also saw one that was made in Ghana Kente and worn over a black shirt. I had to screenshot from Instagram to show you. It was styled by @essenceofmae.
